Who we support

Individual emerging and early-career artists across Australia.

The Cultural Trust supports artists working in all art forms and disciplines. From visual arts to community radio and design to literature, across the spectrum of traditional art forms and experimental mediums.

What we support

Structured professional development and networking opportunities to gain experience, develop networks and learn skills from the world's best. Such as:

  • Residencies
  • Mentorships
  • Study tours that have a clear skills development focus
  • Private lessons
  • Internships
  • Conferences and workshops.

Applications for which the sole opportunity is an exhibition, performance or the making of a recording are ineligible.

The Cultural Trust prioritises the funding of international professional development opportunities. Applicants may seek funding to undertake a development project within Australia if the development opportunity is of high quality and can offer exceptional benefit to an individual's artistic practice.
