In our most recent round of Emerging Artist Grants, 29 early-career artists were awarded $302,022 in grants.
In 2017, painter and grantee Oliver Stokes Hughes undertook a study tour in figurative drawing, painting and sculpture at the Ryder Studio, Santa Fe; Grand Central Atelier, New York; and the School of Visual Arts, New York, USA.
Playwright and 2015 grantee Louris Van de Geer brought her love of psychoanalysis to the stage with her latest play, 'Looking Glass', which recently ran at fortyfivedownstairs. She took the time to answer a couple of questions about the play and her practice.

Rising star Bianca Scudamore is the first Australian dancer in over 20 years to be accepted into the preeminent Paris Opera Ballet School. With the support of a Cultural Trust grant, Bianca will complete her final two trimesters, at the end of which she will audition for her chance to be contracted with the prestigious Paris Opera Ballet Company.
