In our most recent round of Emerging Artist Grants, 29 early-career artists were awarded $302,022 in grants.
Laura Skerlj was awarded a Cultural Trust grant to undertake a residency program in contemporary painting at the Leipzig International Artist Programme, Leipzig, Germany.
An Emerging Artist Grant supported Kerensa Diball in undertaking professional development opportunities in the UK, namely a mentorship with artist Bryony Kimmings.
Eunice Andrada has been awarded an Emerging Artist Grant to undertake a research and development writing residency at Sulu Garden Artist Residency in Miag-ao, Iloilo, Philippines.
Chloe Martin and Alexandra Hines will be supported to undertake a 10-week period of intensive comedy improvisation training at the Groundlings Theatre and Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles, USA.
Filmmaker and new grantee Alena Lodkina will be supported to undertake a three-month artist residency at Cité Internationale des Arts under the mentorship of French script consultant and editor Mary Stephen.
Mixed media and augmented reality artist Anna Madeleine undertook a series of development opportunities, namely a residency at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris, France.
Dance makers, performers and educators Maddy and Frankie have been working together since 2006, when they met while studying at the Victorian College of the Arts. They each received a Cultural Trust grant in 2013 and 2015 respectively, and are now both based in Mparntwe/Alice Springs.
